A day of silence for Newtown

I am saddened beyond words with what’s happened this past week. Hearing the stories of these young lives and those of the teachers that were taken honestly sickens me – I am not yet a parent, but events like this scare me even from the thought. This time of year is for celebrating, not grieving. But, I grieve with the families of those lost. I honor the heroes who put their lives on the line to save the lives of others. I pray for strength for the families affected and the town who loved this school so much.
Feel free to click on the graphic to donate to the United Way in honor of the victims and their families.
Thanks to Carrian Cheney of Oh Sweet Basil for starting this effort and to Nike Peterson of Nike Peterson Designs for the above graphic.

I have friends who are organizing the Sandy Hook Elementary Memorial Half Marathon and 5K. It’s a Virtual Half marathon or 5k, or whatever distance you’d like to run scheduled for January 31st - you can register HERE.

Lots of prayers and love, Kat

No words can describe how sad this makes me. Thanks for sharing the half marathon link. I will definitely run this race, running is the best way to deal with this situation.

    I totally forgot about this.
However, I was in church tonight and they did do a bit for the victims.
    So senseless, so sad, prayers.
