Merry Christmahannawanzika!

This is our first Christmas as a married pair! We've celebrated Christmas before, but this year feels different. I got to marry hubs back in May, and it's been awesome - both ups and downs - to venture into our life together as hubby and wifey. There have been times when work and life contributed to some complacency in the past few months, but we have made sure to spend time together - quality time - so we keep our close bond. Hubs was sweet enough to plan a surprise, fancy pants, dinner during our Christmas weekend together. He took me to a restaurant we'd both not been to before: Ruth's Chris. Woo hoo, steak time!

We tend to clean up nicely ;) (by the way, I got this dress at Charlotte Russe: $25, I've had the shoes for years)

I was surprised to see that the prices weren't as steep as I'd expected, and we were so to taste a little of everything with the "Ruth's Classics" menu:

We caught up on our past 7 months of marriage and our plans and hopes for 2013...over a lovely bottle of Moscato ;)

Christmas Eve - even after both having a 1/2 bottle of vino in our systems from the dinner before - we soldiered through an awesome workout at the gym together. I even had the best run I've had all month long - including negative splits and no issues breathing! If only all runs could be this splendid!

I wish you all a wonderful day to celebrate with family and friends. I also pray for those going through hard times to have the strength to get through and remain strong. I appreciate all of you who come to read my silly blog and keep me motivated through your support!

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

xo, Kat, Hubs, and Jaeden

Did you get your Christmas wish this year?

  2. I have a theory that there's a certain amount of wine makes you run better the next day. Let's say I "experimented" with this hypothesis during senior year of college, and my magic number is between 2.5-3 glasses of vino. ;) Merry Christmas, Kat! :D

  5. Christmas eve day "Grandpa" had emergency heart surgery and he had to Facetime from the hospital during Christmas Eve, but now it's Christmas morning and we hear he should be clear to come home. Lets hope the cardiologist agrees. Time with everyone healthy and together is the best time of all!
