Packing and moving always counts for strength training right?! We’ve had a crazy week packing and moving but are just about DONE! I’m trying to gear up for IDEAFIT PTI East leaving This weekend yay!

that to myself many, many times during speed sessions, long runs and races to make it to the
What is your favorite way to workout/exercise MOVE! Running by far. I’ve been on the injured
reserve list for far too long and am slowly easing my way back in. With the 6+ weeks that I took
off from running, I found that there is a life outside of it but it is definitely my first love. A close
second is yoga.
What is your #1 indulgence? Aside from the occasional treat, how do you substitute it? I don’t
think of food as good or bad. I’m a firm believer in moderation and trying to be as mindful
as possible. With that being said, I make a killer chocolate cake with a ganache frosting. It’s
decadent and outrageously good. Definitely can’t have that all the time! When a chocolate
craving strikes, I’ll go for a piece of dark chocolate or make up a single serving mug cake.
What’s your go-to snack? Roasted sweet potato, cinnamon and dollop of almond butter.
What advice do you have for those starting on a fitness journey? It’s your journey, don’t try to
follow exactly what someone else is doing. Find out what you like the most. That’s what will
make it a lifelong habit.
Bucket list destination/race/to-do? I’d love to do the Berlin or Rome Marathon.
Favorite inspirational fitness personality/trainer/idol? I don’t really have one but I do like Jillian
Michaels and Cathe Friedrich. Fierce ladies who work you hard!
What workout apparel is your MUST have? I’m really open to anything. My workout wardrobe
comes from Target to Lorna Jane, nothing is off limits. If it’s functional and cute, I’ll wear it!
What do you wish you knew years ago that you know now? I wish I knew how awesome running
was in my teens and early 20s. I only did it for the sake of vanity and thought it was agony to run
3 miles. I never gave myself the chance to let my mind get lost in a long run.
